About
A Data Scientist who trains the model and ships the system.
I'm Syed Mujtaba Haider — a Data Scientist and AI Engineer. I analyse data and build dashboards, do model training and deep learning, build AI solutions and AI automations on top of them, and handle the data engineering and full-stack development needed to get them into production.
The short version
I studied Data Science at FAST NUCES and it is still the centre of how I work: start with the data, understand what actually predicts the outcome, train the model, and measure it honestly before anyone calls it finished. Classification, regression, forecasting, computer vision — trained on my own GPU rather than rented by the hour.
Plenty of that work never needs a model at all. A lot of what clients actually want is the analysis and the reporting layer — so I build those too: dashboards in Power BI, Tableau or Looker Studio when the team lives in a BI tool, and Python with Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly or Streamlit when the analysis needs to be reproducible and version-controlled.
Deep learning is where most of that training happens now. CNNs for vision, recurrent architectures for sequences, transformers and fine-tuned checkpoints for language — in PyTorch and TensorFlow, with transfer learning when the dataset is small and full training runs when it is not.
Around the model I build the rest: AI solutions like RAG assistants, agent systems and vision pipelines, and AI automations in n8n that put the model to work across CRMs, inboxes, documents and reporting. Full-stack development — FastAPI, Django, Next.js, Docker, Postgres, Neo4j — is how all of that reaches a user instead of stopping at a notebook.
Right now I build generative AI and RAG systems for a PropTech platform by day, and take on independent data science, AI, automation and full-stack work alongside it. Every client contract I have completed so far is rated five stars.

How I think about the work
Four things I hold to.
A demo is not a system
Anything can look good in a notebook. What matters is whether it holds up on real inputs, at real volume, when something upstream breaks.
Show the trade-offs
Every architecture decision costs something. I would rather write down what a choice gives up than pretend it was free.
Measure honestly
If a number is not reproducible from a script, it does not go in a report. No rounded-up accuracy, no borrowed benchmarks.
Build for the next engineer
Someone else will read this code — possibly you, possibly in a year. Clear structure and documentation are part of the deliverable.
