I'm Syed Mujtaba Haider, an AI Engineer and Full-Stack Developer focused on building practical AI systems, automation workflows, data platforms and production-ready applications.
The short version
I started in data science at FAST NUCES and ended up somewhere broader. The projects that held my attention were never the ones that stopped at a trained model — they were the ones where the model had to survive contact with a real system: an API, a queue, a messy CSV, a client who changed their mind on Thursday.
So I learned the rest of it. Computer vision and deep learning on one side; FastAPI, Django, Next.js, Docker, Postgres, Neo4j and n8n on the other. Today that means I can take a problem from a first conversation through architecture, model, API, interface and deployment without handing it off.
Right now I build generative AI and RAG systems for a PropTech platform by day, and take on independent AI, automation and full-stack work alongside it. Every client contract I have completed so far is rated five stars.

How I think about the work
Four things I hold to.
A demo is not a system
Anything can look good in a notebook. What matters is whether it holds up on real inputs, at real volume, when something upstream breaks.
Show the trade-offs
Every architecture decision costs something. I would rather write down what a choice gives up than pretend it was free.
Measure honestly
If a number is not reproducible from a script, it does not go in a report. No rounded-up accuracy, no borrowed benchmarks.
Build for the next engineer
Someone else will read this code — possibly you, possibly in a year. Clear structure and documentation are part of the deliverable.
